Kelly Bordeaux Piano Studio

Tuition covers the actual time spent with the student, as well as the time spent preparing for the student also.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • My training and experience

  • An individualized plan for each student's course of study

  • Access to my music lending library

  • Development of teaching materials and activities

  • Recital preparation and repertoire planning

  • Written progress reports for each student (one in January and one in April)

  • A Parent-Teacher conference phone call in January

A non-refundable registration fee of $25 per student with appropriate paperwork is due by June 15th for returning students and August 10th for new students. Your registration fee guarantees your child’s place in my studio for the upcoming school year. This fee covers the cost of student lesson books and music needed throughout the year and practice binders. It may also be used for, but is not limited to: additional photocopied student resources, group materials, studio lending books and technology and studio recital fees. Rarely do students begin lessons mid-year, but should this occur, the registration fee should be brought to the student's first lesson in addition to their first month's tuition.

Private lessons for the 2016-2017 school year include 32 weeks of instruction – 28 individual lessons & 4 group lessons. Lessons run with the public school calendar and are taught from the end of August thru mid-May. Students should plan to commit to lessons for the full school year (Aug-May) as the tuition you pay reserves an exclusive weekly time in my schedule for your child for the entire year.

Tuition is paid in 10 monthly installments and payments are due at the first lesson of the month.
(August, September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April & May)

  • 30 minute weekly lesson - $59/month

  • 45 minute weekly lesson - $79/month

*Tuition rates increase by 5% every two years. (The next tuition increase will be the 2017-2018 school year.)

If unforeseen circumstances arise and a student must terminate lessons mid-year, one month's paid notice is required to end lessons.
